The Hawaii State Department of Education's (HIDOE) Health and Physical Education Programs, Healthy Hawaii Initiative Program and Hawaii Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (HAHPERD) held the Hawaii State ALOHA PE Project Video Competition focused on the Hawaii Content and Performance III (HCPS III) PE Standard 3 "Active Lifestyle" and HCPS III PE Standard 4 "Physical Fitness." Students learned the importance of living a healthy lifestyle by creating a personal fitness plan that includes specific fitness goals. The achievement of these goals is measured by pre- and post-data collection and assessment.
